An introduction to our ministry

Hi, I am writing to you today from my desk here at Operation Hope. I want to take the opportunity to write to you and your church personally, to introduce the work of Operation Hope, as well as explore how we might work together.

Who is Operation Hope?

In 2008 God gave Stephen Pilkington an experience and vision for future ministry that has become the format of everything that followed. Prayer first – Prayer throughout – Prayer afterwards. A house of prayer was founded in which God called the partakers to seek Him on a level they have never known. “If you will seek me for Holiness beyond all you’ve seen I will set you on fire”. As the house of prayer continued a strong call to missions was given and a call to the nations. Operation Hope was the name given to the things God commanded them to do when in the place of prayer. Over the years Operation Hope have been involved in many tent missions, church plants, a stadium event in the UK (Northern follow on event to NDOP Wembley), an orphanage in Kenya, well production and many crusades in various parts of the world.

Our Vision

God has told us specifically to focus our work on the continent of Africa. We have a vision to reach a million souls for Christ through outreach and missionary activities. We have a big tent that holds around 1500 people, and we take teams out from the UK to get hands on in missionary work with the poor, or orphanages, with one-to-one evangelism and mass evangelism. We have built and supported an orphanage and continue to be involved with Children and youth ministry. God opened amazing doors in Kenya in particular.

We now have a base in Kakamega county Kenya, near to Lake Victoria. It is our plan to take as many teams as possible to experience short term missions. They will be a part of a praying sharing community, being built up in Christ to serve others. We find that believers are transformed by the opportunity to get hands on with missionary work and seeing many lives transformed by the gospel. They then take that fire and go back to their home churches with a new perspective on what God can do.

How can your church be involved?

Pray

We would like you to pray for our work and to be kept informed of what we are doing and intending to do we would like to invite you to join our newsletter mailing list, we tend to send out newsletters every 1-2 months though when we are on mission, we send them out more frequently. Please click this link if you’d be willing to sign up to receive emails, and possibly recommend it to congregation members as you see fit.

Check out our Website and Facebook Page

We have a website and a Facebook page and would love you to visit us and share our page with your friends.

Come With Us!

We have premises in western Kenya, and we are looking to taking teams of people to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The people of Kenya are so open to attending Crusade meetings and listening to and responding to the Gospel. Find a link below to register a request for more info on this.

Invite Us To Come!

It is my passion to get out and share the gospel, but also share about Operation Hope. If you would like to invite us to come to your church to share about the work in person. Maybe to hold a gospel meeting or preaching service feel free to get in touch. Distance is not an obstacle as it is always a privilege to connect with the body of Christ. Just click on the contact link to get in touch.

Practical Help

Finally, when you appreciate how God is changing lives through the missions, we would like you to consider if you might feel led to support Operation Hope financially. The more partners, and partner ministries we have, this work is propelled into something bigger than just us.

Thank you sincerely for taking time to read this introduction

Yours in Christ
